Computers and Computing

This section retains most content from the previous version but there are no longer links to hardware and peripheral manufacturers. These are gone as it became impossible to maintain an effective, up-to-date list for either. As well, they are available from many other sources better able to provide the information.

The Computer Help page has the content for both software and hardware that was scattered across several pages previously. It has also been expanded.

Similarly, the Computer History page, contains the information from the previous New & Old Computers page, with additional information.

The Software & Software Sites pages are similar to previous pages. The Software page has some modifications with only recommended software having descriptors and alternate versions only being listed by name and program type.

A further link is provided here to the specific curriculum area of Information Technology, where curriculum-based computer and ICT material can be found.
